On April 25, 2009 our middle schoolers and high schoolers were invited to attend the stage adaptation of Jerry's Spinelli's novel, "Eggs" at People's Light and Theatre Company. At Daddy’s Spirit, we believe that the major themes of Eggs are very much in tune with some of the issues and feelings that grieving children face – such as adults shielding kids from painful truths, kids developing fantasies as coping mechanisms, and especially kids who share a common experience understanding and supporting each other.

One mom had this to say after attending the performance:

"I cannot say enough good things about Eggs! Both of us really enjoyed the performance. I am going to get the book so we can read it as well.  It is good to see tough subjects being tackled by theaters such as People's Light. Personally, I could relate to most of what was being played out on stage. Overall, I felt it to be a healing experience.  Thank you for the opportunity to join the group. I look forward to doing more outings next season."
