From time to time, Daddy's Spirit is featured in the media. We always appreciate opportunities to tell our story - by doing so, we are able to reach more children in need, reach more volunteers to help them and inspire more individuals to provide the financial support needed to meet our mission of providing positive experiences for children who are grieving the loss of their father.

Aidan Peterson’s father died suddenly at age 28 of an undetected heart defect five years ago, two weeks after his first birthday. Aidan’s mother, Amy Shumoski, suddenly faced the challenges of dealing with her own shock and grief and raising a son without a father, unlike most kids. She felt isolated and struggled to connect to people whose experiences were similar to hers; she also sought a means of providing Aidan with the companionship of other children whose fathers had passed away. |
